BENIGN GYNAECOLOGY PROCEDURES
Benign gynaecology refers to non-cancerous gynaecological conditions. At The Wellington Women’s Clinic, we diagnose and treat menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, including endometriosis, ovarian cysts, menopause, and recurrent miscarriage.
Different gynaecological conditions can produce very similar symptoms, such as irregular or heavy bleeding, persistent itching, or a new onset of abdominal pain. Accurate diagnosis of a gynaecological condition is essential in order to provide appropriate and speedy intervention.
MENOPAUSE MANAGEMENT
Menopause typically occurs for women around the age of 50 and marks the end of female reproduction as the ovaries cease to produce hormones. This is normally preceded by a perimenopausal phase. To restore balance, menopause management focuses on treating the different symptoms of perimenopause and menopause. These can include lifestyle changes and complementary therapies alongside a bespoke approach to hormone replacement therapy.
REPRODUCTIVE MEDICINE
Achieving parenthood is meant to feel like a natural and expected stage on life’s journey, so encountering obstacles to conception can be very distressing. Experienced gynaecologist Mrs Anupama Shahid offers couples and individuals a caring and personalised approach to infertility or subfertility care and can guide them through what can be a very confusing and challenging time.
