He trained at St Mary’s, Hammersmith Hospital and Guys Hospital in London and spent 2 years in Australia (Perth and Sydney) which enabled him to return to the UK with an expertise at laparoscopic (minimal access) surgery.
He was made a consultant initially at St Marys and then moved to Hammersmith Hospital to run the regional gynaecological cancer service providing care to a population of over 2 million women in the West of London.
He is an expert in Medicolegal work providing opinions on the practice of others and is the Responsible Officer at King Edward VII hospital regulating clinical standards.
He has a particular expertise at performing laparoscopic hysterectomies having done more of this type of operation than almost anyone in the country.
His practice particularly involves operating on patients referred by other gynaecologists for problems such as cancer, ovarian cysts, and fibroids. He does colposcopy examinations at King Edward VII Hospital
His CVO was awarded by King Charles III in 2023 for Services to the Royal Family.
